Wanting people to have healthcare is radical now. Thinking kids shouldn't go hungry is a political stance. Believing people deserve to exist without justifying it to a government is somehow controversial.
They moved the center so far right that basic human decency looks like extremism. Feeding people is socialism. Housing people is communism. Loving whoever you love is an agenda. Not wanting children bombed is antisemitic. Not wanting immigrants kidnapped is unpatriotic.
If that makes me radical, fine. I got radicalized by the bare fucking minimum. By the idea that people should be alive and fed and free and left alone. By the absolutely unhinged belief that human rights are for humans.
Guilty as charged.
